Black Pumas unveiled in-studio video featuring their cover of “Wichita Lineman” and original “Colors” from their recently released The Electric Deluxe Sessions EP. The band led by Eric Burton and Adrian Quesada issued The Electric Deluxe Sessions EP last month as an Amazon Exclusive.
The Electric Deluxe Sessions also featured new takes on originals “Fire” and “Know You Better” in addition to the renditions of “Wichita Lineman” and “Colors.” All three originals originally appeared on the Black Pumas’ 2019 self-titled debut studio album. Jimmy Webb penned “Wichita Lineman,” a song first released and popularized by Glen Campbell in 1968.

Eric and Adrian were backed by their full touring band for The Electric Deluxe Sessions. “When we recorded the record [Black Pumas] we’d only been working together for a few months,” Quesada said in a statement when the EP was announced. “All the touring we did over the last year, the live show has elevated all the songs arrangement-wise, everyone gets to shine a little bit and we don’t get to put that down too often.”
