Black Pumas Announce Deluxe Edition Of Self-Titled LP & Perform ‘Confines’ With String Quartet

Black Pumas will issue a deluxe edition of their self-titled debut studio album digitally on August 28 and physically on October 9 via ATO Records. The Austin-based band also premiered a new live video for Black Pumas track “Confines” featuring a string quartet.
The deluxe edition of Black Pumas contains the original album as well as a collection of bonus tracks. Included among them are three new originals, three in-studio versions of songs from Black Pumas, a live rendition of “Know You Better” and a series of covers. The covers featured in the deluxe edition are Black Pumas’ takes on Bobby “Blue” Bland’s “Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of The City,” Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” the Beatles’ “Eleanor Rigby” and “Politicians In My Eyes” by Death.
The vinyl will be pressed on 2-LPs featuring new artwork as well as a gatefold with previously unpublished photos. Watch the “Confines” video below:
