The Black Crowes Break Out Pink Floyd Cover In Minnesota

The Black Crowes brought their Southern Hospitality Tour with Whiskey Myers to Shakopee, Minnesota on Tuesday. A summer of bust outs continued for the band at the new Mystic Lake Amphitheater, as they took their cover of Pink Floyd’s “Fearless” and long-lost original “Better When You’re Not Alone” off the shelf.

Frontman Chris Robinson and his bandmates served up a 15-song performance to close out the concert at the Twin Cities venue. In addition to the rarities, The Crowes pleased fans with plenty of favorites including “Jealous Again,” “Wiser Time,” “She Talks To Angels,” “Twice As Hard” and “Remedy.”

The setlist also featured a new tune as “Do The Parasite!” filled the two-slot. “Do The Parasite!,” which was only played live twice prior, appears on The Black Crowes’ 2026 studio album, A Pound Of Feathers.

After performing their iconic cover of Otis Redding’s “Hard To Handle,” The Black Crowes began diving deep. A surprise segment of two songs the band hadn’t played since the early 2010s began with the return of “Better When You’re Not Alone.”

Penned by Chris Robinson and sibling Rich Robinson, the Three Snakes And One Charm single was originally released on the 1996 studio album. While “Better When You’re Not Alone” was performed frequently by The Crowes in 1996 and 1997, the tune was only played eight additional times through March 18, 2013 until last night’s concert.

Chris Robinson then vacated the stage while his brother guided the group through the Pink Floyd classic “Fearless.” Rich Robinson first performed the song from 1971’s Meddle with his solo band in 2004 before bringing “Fearless” to the Crowes repertoire the following year. Last night marked The Black Crowes’ first cover of the song since December 12, 2010.

The Black Crowes wrapped the night with an “It’s All Over Now” encore. The song originally recorded by The Valentinos and popularized by The Rolling Stones, was first performed by The Crowes earlier this tour on May 24, 2026 in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Southern Hospitality Tour moves on to Riverside, Missouri on Thursday, July 30. Whiskey Myers and The Black Crowes will be on the road together through August 20.
