By Nate Todd Dec 27, 2020 8:50 am PST

Billy Strings wrapped up his String The Halls: Home For The Holidays Edition charity fundraiser video series on Christmas. The final tune in the 12-song series is the “King of Bluegrass” Jimmy Martin’s “Tennessee.”

Strings and his band — mandolinist Jarrod Walker, bassist Royal Masat, banjo player Billy Failing — last played the song in McHenry, Illinois on September 16 during the Meet Me At The Drive-In Tour. That performance was just the second time the quartet played the Jimmy Martin classic after debuting it at the Station Inn in Nashville on July 17 on the Streaming Strings Tour, as per Phantasy Tour. “Tennessee” is the final installment in the 12-song collection, which is out now via nug.net. Find it here.
