Billy Strings Performs ‘Likes Of Me’ For ‘String The Halls’
Billy Strings performed “Likes Of Me” for the next installment in his String The Halls: Home For The Holidays Edition charity fundraiser video series. Strings and his band unveiled the Jerry Reed number in July 2019, as per Phantasy Tour.
Billy and the band — mandolinist Jarrod Walker, bassist Royal Masat and banjo player Billy Failing — last played “Likes Of Me” during a livestream concert at the Ryman Auditorium on October 25. Reed’s “The Likes Of Me” appears on his 1969 album, Better Things In Life.
String The Halls is a charity fundraiser with proceeds benefitting Nashville Rescue Mission, Musically Fed and Second Harvest Food Bank Of Middle Tennessee. “Likes Of Me” is the 6th entry in String The Halls, which sees the guitarist releasing a new video up through Christmas when the whole 12-song set will become available via nugs.net.
