Billy Strings offers up the Tony Rice instrumental “Tipper” for the next installment in his String The Halls: Home For The Holiday Edition video series. “Tipper” has been a steady live staple for the guitarist since he debuted it in July 2019, as per Phantasy Tour.
“Tipper” follows “Y'All Come” in the String The Halls series. Billy gets the song underway before mandolin player Jarrod Walker and banjoist Billy Failing take rides over Royal Masat’s steady bassline. “Tipper” appears on Tony Rice’s 1986 album, Me & My Guitar.
