St. Vincent Performs ‘Smoking Section’ With Marc Ribot On ‘Fallon’

St. Vincent (Annie Clark) performed “Smoking Section” with guitarist Marc Ribot on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. St. Vincent’s live album, Live In London!, was released in March.

Clark played lap steel guitar while seated at a table beside vocalists Hannah Cohen and Ella Hunt. They were accompanied by bassists James Genus and Charlotte Kemp Muhl and keyboardist Rachel Eckroth.

Rounding out the collective was acclaimed guitarist Marc Ribot. Clark wrote in an Instagram post that Ribot was her “favorite guitar player.”

Eckroth co-produced Live In London!, which captures Clark’s 2025 BBC Proms performance at the Royal Albert Hall with the 60-piece Jules Buckley Orchestra. The 19-song album includes “Smoking Section,” which first appeared on her 2017 album MASSEDUCTION.
