Billy Strings performed “These Old Blues” for the next installment in the guitarist’s String The Halls: Home For The Holidays Edition charity fundraiser video series. Billy Strings first unveiled the Larry Sparks tune in June 2016, as per Phantasy Tour.

“These Old Blues” sees Strings backed by his band mandolinist Jarrod Walker, bassist Royal Masat and banjo player Billy Failing. “These Old Blues” appears on Larry Sparks & The Lonesome Ramblers’ 1972 album, Bluegrass Old And New. Billy Strings last played the number on February 7 in Louisville, Kentucky.

String The Halls is a charity fundraiser with proceeds heading to Nashville Rescue Mission, Musically Fed and Second Harvest Food Bank Of Middle Tennessee. “These Old Blues” is the seventh entry in String The Halls, which sees Strings releasing a video each day running through Christmas when the entire 12-song set will become available via nugs.net.
