Whitney Shares ‘Valleys (My Love)’ Video

Last month, Whitney announced their sophomore album, Forever Turned Around, which is due out on August 30th via Secretly Canadian. Now, the Chicago-based band led by Julien Ehrlich and guitarist Max Kakacek has unveiled a new single, “Valleys (My Love)” with a cinematic music video.

Following up lead single “Giving Up,” “Valleys (My Love)” is a bittersweet tune that focuses on the anxiety of being away from loved ones. Inspired by a drive through Montana, the group pairs mournful lyrics with cascading instrumentation and heartfelt vocals.

To accompany the song, Whitney has released a gorgeous music video by Kamp Grizzly, which was directed by Nick Woytuk. Shot in Portland, Oregon, the clip follows a commercial truck driver as he crosses the country, splicing in shots of the life he’s left at home. Watch the video, which draws parallels to the life of touring musicians, below:
