Weezer will take a “Voyage To The Blue Planet” September 4 – October 11 for North American tour dates celebrating the 30th anniversary of the band’s instant-classic, self-titled debut album. The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr., who each recently commemorated the anniversaries of special records of their own, will kick off all shows.

Weezer — currently comprised of vocalist/guitarist Rivers Cuomo, bassist Scott Shriner, drummer Patrick Wilson and rhythm guitarist/keyboardist Brian Bell — was formed in 1992. The Los Angeles-based outfit put out their self-titled debut, known as the Blue Album, in May of 1994. Weezer’s Ric Ocasek-produced LP included a trio of hits that remain among the band’s most beloved songs — “Say It Ain’t So,” “Buddy Holly” and “Undone — The Sweater Song.”

Weezer will perform the Blue Album in its entirety at each stop. Rivers Cuomo and his bandmates also promise “other fan favorites, rarities and more.”
