Watch Warren Haynes Cover Van Morrison’s ‘Into The Mystic’ For ‘Georgia Comes Alive’

Gov’t Mule frontman Warren Haynes performed a cover of the Van Morrison classic “Into The Mystic” that premiered during the “Georgia Comes Alive” one-day virtual festival. Haynes went solo for the breathtaking rendition of the song off Morrison’s iconic 1970 album Moondance.

“Georgia Comes Alive” was organized by Live For Live Music and HeadCount to promote participation in the Georgia Senate runoff elections, which take place today. Haynes was among over 50 artists who performed during the “Georgia Comes Alive” broadcast on December 26.

Over one million people viewed “Georgia Comes Alive” with more than $170,000 raised for local grassroots organizations including Georgia Coalition For The People’s Agenda and CivicGeorgia.

Warren has a long history of performing “Into The Mystic” that includes versions with The Allman Brothers Band, Gov’t Mule and Phil Lesh & Friends in addition to solo takes. Check out his performance of the song for “Georgia Comes Alive” below:
