Vulfpeck bassist Joe Dart worked with Ernie Ball Music Man to develop The Joe Dart Bass. Each bass will be made to order by Ernie Ball Music Man and the instruments will only be on sale through March. In other Vulfpeck news, WeldWerks Brewing announced a beer inspired by Vulfpeck.

Dart stars in a video showing The Joe Dart Bass in action. He works through “Hollywood Swinging,” “Good Times,” “Another One Bites The Dust,” “It Gets Funkier” and “1612.” The bassist also explains all the features of the instrument as band mate Jack Stratton pitches the bass and Nate Smith plays drums. Stratton also talks about what separates The Joe Dark Bass from other basses and performs portions of a few tunes. Watch The Joe Dart Bass video:

WeldWerks Brewing Co. — an award-winning craft brewery located in Greeley, Colorado — launched the Vulf-inspired 1612. “So, we got a guy. A marketing guy. A guy who does marketing things. A man of markets, if you will,” reads a note announcing 1612 from WeldWerks. “We often see him bobbing to the infectious grooves of those funky funksters from Michigan known as Vulfpeck, and we’ll be darned if we haven’t all been charmed by this groovy tune, so we wanted to pay homage with this hazy IPA brewed with El Dorado, Amarillo and Cascade hops.” The beer is said to feature, “Notes of low end, crisp highs and restrained yet perfectly placed instrumentation” with a 6.4% ABV. 1612 is on draft at the brewery and goes on sale at 12 p.m. MT in to-go cans. Each four-pack runs $14 and there’s a limit of one case to start.
