Twiddle helped kick off the 2022 Suwannee Hulaween festival on Thursday with the evening’s penultimate set on The Amphitheater stage. Keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth from host band The String Cheese Incident sat-in with the Vermont-based jam quartet on “Every Soul” towards the middle of the Vermont-based jam quartet’s performance at the Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida.
The group consisting of guitarist Mihali, bassist Zdenek Gubb, keyboardist Ryan Dempsey and drummer Adrian Tramontano launched their 75-minute set by incapsulating “Mamunes The Faun” within “Apples.” Twiddle then followed “Lost In The Cold” and “Slippin’ In The Kitchen” with their take on The Cranberries 1994 hit “Zombie,” a cover debuted last Halloween.
Kyle Hollingsworth emerged after the set’s lone cover for the beloved “Every Soul.” The String Cheese Incident keyboardist shared Ryan Dempsey’s rig as the pair traded dynamic licks within the jam. Next up was a “Nicodemus Portulay” featuring a fitting “Halloween Theme” tease of the main title from the 1978 flick and “Harry Potter Theme” hints. Classic “When It Rains It Pours” and “Every Last Leaf II” off the recently released Twiddle album Every Last Leaf brought the performance to its conclusion.
