TV On The Radio Performs Pulsating ‘Staring At The Sun’ On ‘Fallon’
The group appeared in support of the 20th-anniversary reissue of their debut album.

TV On the Radio appeared on Thursday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to highlight the recent 20th-anniversary reissue of their debut album, . The band performed an intense version of the album track, “Staring At The Sun.”
TVOTR made a profound introductory statement in 2004 with the release of Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes. The album introduced standout songs such as “Dreams,” “Poppy” and “Staring At The Sun.” The expanded 20th-anniversary edition featured five bonus tracks, including the “Staring At The Sun” demo.

TV On The Radio will hold their first public concerts since 2019 starting with a four-show run at Webster Hall in New York City that begins on Monday, November 25. Additional shows in Los Angeles and London are scheduled in December.
TV On The Radio’s lineup features Tunde Adebimpe, Kyp Malone and Jaleel Bunton. Co-founding member guitarist/producer David Andrew Sitek “is unable to join the live shows.” Longtime TVOTR bassist Gerard Smith died of cancer in 2011.
