TV On The Radio Confirms 1st Concerts Since 2019 & ‘Desperate Youth’ Deluxe Reissue

TV On the Radio will bring an end to a five-year performance hiatus when they reunite this fall to play multi-night runs in New York City, Los Angeles and London. The highly-influential Brooklyn-based band announced details of the upcoming shows and a 20th-anniversary reissue of their debut album, Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes.

TV On The Radio’s first performances since 2019 will move forward without co-founding member guitarist/producer David Andrew Sitek who “is unable to join the live shows” as per a press release. Sitek’s bandmates Tunde Adebimpe, Kyp Malone and Jaleel Bunton will take the stage under the TV On The Radio banner at NYC’s Webster Hall November 25 – 26 and 29 – 30; Los Angeles’ El Rey Theatre December 4 – 5 and 7 and London’s Islington Assembly Hall December 10 – 12.

Tickets for the intimate shows will go on sale next Thursday, September 12 at 10 a.m. local time. Each concert will likely sell out quickly with demand far outpacing supply.

TV On The Radio burst onto the scene in 2004 with the release of their first LP, Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes, which features such beloved songs as “Staring At The Sun,” “Dreams” and “Poppy.” The album arrived via Touch and Go Records, the same imprint that will issue the deluxe edition on November 15. Five bonus tracks accompany the original album, two of which are previously unreleased.

The band previewed the 20th-anniversary Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes deluxe edition by sharing the previously unreleased track “Final Fantasy.” Stream the early demo of a song that would become “Bomb Yourself” below:
