Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio unveiled pro-shot video featuring “Guyute” from his “The Beacon Jams” livestream concert at The Beacon Theatre in New York City on October 30, 2020. Anastasio performed “Guyute” acoustic backed by pianist Jeff Tanski and the Rescue Squad Strings (Anja Wood on cello, Rachel Golub on viola and Katie Kresek and Maxim Moston on violin).
“Guyute” came towards the end of Trey’s fourth of eight “The Beacon Jams” livestream concerts. The tune followed a performance of “My Friend, My Friend,” another song the guitarist wrote during a trip to Ireland. Anastasio fit lines from Vincent Price’s “Thriller” narration within “Guyute” at “The Beacon Jams.”

Phish debuted “Guyute” at Stabler Arena on the campus of Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on October 7, 1994. The quartet recorded a studio version for 1998’s The Story Of The Ghost.
While “The Beacon Jams” were broadcast free, fans were asked to donate to the Divided Sky Fund. More than $1 million was raised over the course of the run to help build and operate an addiction rehabilitation center in Vermont.
