This past week The Claypool Lennon Delirium resumed touring with a run a of West Coast shows. The band featuring bassist Les Claypool and guitarist Sean Ono Lennon played the Showbox SODO in Seattle on Thursday, July 21 and were joined by saxophonist Skerik and Claypool’s Primus band mate, drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander.

A few songs into the main set, Skerik came out to sit-in on a performance of their Frog Brigade song “Up On The Roof.” The performance also included renditions of several songs from The Claypool Lennon Delirium’s recently issued debut album Monolith Of Phobos, such as “Bubbles Burst,” “Mr. Wright,” “Boomerang Baby,” “Ohmerica” and “Oxycontin Girl.” They also covered Pink Floyd’s “Astronomy Domine” and The Beatles’ “Tomorrow Never Knows.”

For the encore, drummer Tim Alexander – who recently revealed he’d suffered a second heart attack – took a seat behind the kit while replacing Paulo Baldi for a performance of Primus’ “Southbound Pachyderm.” Audience-shot video footage of the encore in Seattle was captured by klehtun and, watch it here:
