Tibet House US Expands Lineup For 2021 Virtual Benefit Concert

The Flaming Lips, Patti Smith and Iggy Pop are among the additions to the lineup for the 2021 Tibet House benefit concert which will be held virtually. Tibet House US in partnership with Mandolin will air the 34th Annual Tibet House US Virtual Benefit Concert on February 17 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

Jesse Paris Smith, Chocolate Genius, Inc.’ Marc Anthony Thompson with Tessa Thompson and Saori Tsukada round out the batch of lineup additions. Previously announced performers include Phoebe Bridgers, Eddie Vedder, Brittany Howard, Valerie June, Angélique Kidjo, Laurie Anderson, Tenzin Choegyal and Rubin Kodheli. The event will feature a mix of live and pre-recorded segments.

Philip Glass curated the lineup and will serve as the event’s musical director. The livestream special will start with a message from His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama.

Tickets and sponsorships are on sale now via Mandolin. Proceeds from the virtual concert go towards Tibet House US, an organization founded in 1987 to spotlight, preserve and protect Tibetan traditions and culture.
