Brittany Howard, Phoebe Bridgers, Eddie Vedder & More Aboard For Tibet House 2021 Livestream Benefit
The 2021 Tibet House benefit concert will be presented virtually as a livestream special featuring performances from Brittany Howard, Phoebe Bridgers, Eddie Vedder and others. The 34th Annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert airs via Mandolin on February 17 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
Philip Glass will serve his traditional role as artistic director and curator for the virtual edition of the benefit. Valerie June, Angélique Kidjo, Laurie Anderson, Tenzin Choegyal and Rubin Kodheli round out the initial lineup for the special with more artists to be announced soon.
The concerts usually take place at New York City’s Carnegie Hall and tickets sell out quickly. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama will contribute a video message to start the virtual benefit show, which will feature a mix of live and pre-recorded segments.
Various ticket packages are on sale now through Mandolin’s website. Mandolin, a full creative and fundraising partner in the benefit, is involved with all aspects of the show ranging from artist booking to managing the production. Proceeds from the show will go towards Tibet House US.
