With their final North American concerts in the rearview, The Who are set to roll out a new recording, Live at Eden Project, arriving in all formats on May 29. The legendary rockers previewed the live album with the classic “Pinball Wizard,” featuring the Heart of England Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Who’s Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey were backed by the orchestra during the show captured in England’s Cornish countryside at Eden Project in July 2023.
“The Eden Project’s natural acoustics and enclosed structures created a warm, detailed sonic environment that offered a clarity and intimacy unmatched by traditional stadium settings,” as per a press release.
Along with Tommy cut “Pinball Wizard,” Live at Eden Project boasts additional Who favorites such as “Who Are You,” “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” “Behind Blue Eyes,” “My Generation,” “Eminence Front” and album-closer “Baba O’Riley,” along with rarities “Cry If You Want,” “Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere” and “The Rock.”
