The Strokes Debut ‘Reality Awaits’ Standout ‘Dine N’Dash’ Live At Red Rocks

The Strokes closed out the first leg of their 2026 International Tour at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Thursday, just hours before the release of Reality Awaits. The band celebrated the arrival of the LP during the second of two consecutive shows at the bucolic Morrison, Colorado venue by offering the live debut of the record’s “Dine N’Dash.”

Produced by Rick Rubin, Reality Awaits marks the New York rock band’s seventh studio album and first since 2020’s The New Abnormal. The first-ever live performance of “Dine N’Dash” came early in the show. The Strokes also fit Reality Awaits track “Going Shopping” into their 19-song setlist.

Frontman Julian Casablancas and his bandmates played three songs featured on The New Abnormal at their Red Rocks finale. The Strokes devoted the bulk of the rest of the concert to five cuts from 2006’s First Impressions of Earth and four off 2001’s Is This It. The latter, the band’s debut album, was represented by classics “Hard To Explain,” “Last Nite,” “Someday” and “Take It Or Leave It.”
