The Strokes Unveil Blonde Redhead Cover In Richmond

The Strokes brought their 2026 Summer Tour to Allianz Amphitheater in Richmond, Virginia on Sunday. The New York rockers rolled out a Blonde Redhead cover, “This Is Not,” about halfway through their main set.

The Strokes kicked off the concert with a track, “Life Is Simple In The Moonlight,” off their 2011 album, Angles. The initial stages of the show also saw the band delivering “Going Shopping” from their pending 2026 album Reality Awaits, arrivng July 24.

Over the course of the show, the band dipped evenly from all of their seven records including favorites “Selfless,” “Reptilia,” “Last Nite,” “Someday,” “You Only Live Once,” and “The Adults Are Talking.” Additionally, The Strokes offered the tour debut of “Automatic Stop” from their 2003 LP Room On Fire and fielded a fan request for Comedown Machine cut “Happy Ending.”

The Blonde Redhead cover debut, “This Is Not,” arrived in the ninth song slot. The Strokes nodded to their fellow New York rockers with the song originally appearing on Blonde Redhead’s 2000 album, Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons. To conclude the concert, The Strokes bookended their four song encore with a pair of additional popular tunes “Call It Fate, Call It Karma” and “Ode To The Mets.”
