The Disco Biscuits Revive ‘Cars’ Cover At Halloween Weekend Finale In Syracuse

The Disco Biscuits wrapped up their Halloween run on Saturday in Syracuse, New York. Fittingly for the drive in concert, the band busted out Gary Numan’s “Cars” to kick off the encore.
Bisco got things underway with “Rockafella” followed by the classic “Little Betty Boop,” which was left unfinished. “Boop’ headed right into more vintage tDB with “Morph Dusseldorf” and kept segueing into “Feeling Twisted,” an unfinished “Abraxas” and back into “Morph” to close out the set.

“Save The Robots” began the second set. The relatively new “Running Into The Night,” which the band debuted over their 2019 New Year’s Eve run in New York City, came next ahead of an “Orch Theme” into an inverted “Humuhumunukunukuapua’a.” Next up, “The Great Abyss” before the band headed back into “Running Into The Night.”
The encore got going with “Cars,” tDB had not played the Gary Numan cover since 2010, as per Phantasy Tour. “Cars” encompassed an inverted “Naeba” (also a rare tune, played just under 20 times since it’s debut in 2009) to cap things off.
