The Biscuits Truly Go Disco For Halloween In Syracuse
By Scott Bernstein Nov 2, 2015 • 7:15 am PST
The Disco Biscuits played a Halloween show for the first time since 2010 on Saturday night at Crouse Hinds Theatre in Syracuse. Saturday’s second set saw the band joined by special guests for a disco-themed set.
The quartet kicked off the festivities with a five-song, well-jammed first set that included such classics as “Home Again,” “Catalyst” and “Munchkin Invasion.” When the Disco Biscuits came out for the second set they were joined by the Philly Stray Horns for “M.E.M.P.H.I.S.” Vocalist Alita Moses then added to the fun for the evening’s first cover – “Get Down On It” by Kool & The Gang which segued into “Spacebirdmatingcall.” From there, the guests returned for “Funky Town” (Lipps Inc.) > “You Should Be Dancing” (Bee Gees) > “Born To Be Alive.” (Patrick Hernandez). Following the ending of “42,” the Disco Biscuits brought the set to a close with a “Morph Dusseldorf” > “Give It To Me Baby” > “Morph Dusseldorf” sequence. A “Once The Fiddler Paid” encore sent fans on their way.
