The Dockery Farms Foundation has confirmed an appearance by Tedeschi Trucks Band at the famed Dockery Farms. Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks will bring their ensemble to the historic site near Cleveland, Mississippi on Sunday, April 24.
The former home of influential bluesman Charley Patton, Dockery Farms is considered the location where the Delta Blues style was born. The storied property in the past also housed such legends as Robert Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf, Roebuck “Pops” Staples, and many others.
Intent on preserving and maintaining the famed grounds, the non-profit Dockery Farms Foundation hosted the first outdoor concert last year, featuring a performance by Rosanne Cash. The TTB concert will be staged inside the restored former cotton storage shed. An opening act is expected to be revealed soon.
