TAUK welcomed keyboardist Neal Francis for a cover of Sly And The Family Stone’s “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin).” The collaboration came during TAUK’s concert at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta on Saturday.
Sly And The Family Stone’s nascent funk tune “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)” arrived as a single in December 1969 along with “Everybody Is A Star.” TAUK’s performance of the classic in Atlanta saw keyboardist Neal Francis — who was in town for the Shaky Knees festival — joining Alric “A.C.” Carter in key world. Francis handled the verses and backed up drummer Isaac Teel on the iconic chorus.
