Steely Dan will continue a tradition of performing several of their iconic albums from start-to-finish at the Beacon, something the group has done over the course of six prior Beacon residencies. On October 17, the band will perform all of 1976’s The Royal Scam at the New York City venue. Next up is Aja (1977) night on October 18 and a complete performance of Donald Fagen’s 1982 solo album The Nightfly on October 20.
The run resumes with “By Popular Demand” night on October 21 ahead of complete performances of Countdown To Ecstacy (1973) on October 24 and Gaucho (1980) on October 26. Steely Dan concludes the residency with another Aja night on October 27, another performance of The Nightfly on October 29 and “Greatest Hits” night on October 30. Each full album night will also include additional selections from The Dan’s back catalog.
