JAŸ-Z will return to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on February 14 to headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show. The booking puts the Roc Nation founder at the center of a performance his company has helped shape behind the scenes for years.

Roc Nation’s partnership with the NFL dates to 2019 and includes advising on the selection of halftime performers. The company will executive produce JAŸ-Z’s show and serve as its strategic entertainment advisor, with Hamish Hamilton directing.

“When we first reached an agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had just one request: that JAŸ-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said. “I couldn’t be more excited for fans around the world to experience the artistry, creativity and cultural impact he will bring to the Super Bowl stage.”

Apple Music, the NFL and Roc Nation announced the performance on Monday. The Super Bowl will air on ESPN and ABC, stream on Disney+ and be available on mobile devices through NFL+.

The announcement follows a year of concerts celebrating the 30th anniversary of JAŸ-Z’s 1996 debut album, Reasonable Doubt. His JAŸ-Z 30 run included three nights at Yankee Stadium and appearances in London and Paris before reaching the site of his upcoming Super Bowl performance.

“From Reasonable Doubt to standing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, this has been a journey,” JAŸ-Z stated. “Thirty years of music, work, and culture on the world’s biggest stage. This run continues to be a dream come true.”

JAŸ-Z just completed two guest-filled concerts at SoFi Stadium on October 23 and 24. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg joined Saturday’s show for a stretch that included “The Next Episode,” “California Love,” “Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang” and “Still D.R.E.” His daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, played piano during Friday’s performances of “The Story Of O.J.” and “Dead Presidents.”
