One night after making history at the first FIFA World Cup halftime show, Shakira turned Barclays Center into her own celebration on Monday, welcoming Tyla, Ed Sheeran and Burna Boy to the stage during the opening night of a two-show Brooklyn run on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour.
The Brooklyn dates resume the Colombian superstar’s extensive trek following a one-week layoff. “World Cup Edition” was added to the branding for the run to reflect her big day at MetLife Stadium, where she performed during the FIFA World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina.
“What a day yesterday at the finals!” Shakira exclaimed early in the concert in reference to Spain’s 1-0 win over Argentina. “Well, today I’m pumped, so I’m gonna give you all I got. Because there’s nothing like when a she-wolf is back with her pack. Awooo!”
Shakira dove into a run of catalog staples before Tyla emerged as the first surprise guest. The pair joined forces for a rendition of “Hips Don’t Life” that saw both singers work a catwalk extending into the crowd.
Ed Sheeran followed later in the set, teaming up with Shakira on her 2002 single “Underneath Your Clothes” for a stripped-down, guitar-driven duet. Sheeran previously linked up with Shakira last year to record a new version of “Hips Don’t Lie” in celebration of the 20th anniversary of her Oral Fixation, Vol. 2 album.
Burna Boy closed out the guest run with an appearance for “Dai Dai,” his and Shakira’s chart-topping collaboration. The duo had last performed the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Sunday during the halftime show. Shakira went on to wrap her set with another World Cup anthem, “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).”
The global icon returns to Brooklyn’s Barclays Center tonight. The U.S. leg of the Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour then ends with shows in Elmont, New York on July 23 and Atlantic City, New Jersey on July 25.
