Shakira performed a special version of her global hit, “Hips Don’t Lie,” with Ed Sheeran and Beéle. The collaboration came together for Shakira’s Spotify Anniversary celebration of her 2005 album Oral Fixation, Vol. 2.
Along with the 20th anniversary of Oral Fixation, Vol. 2, Shakira’s Spotify Anniversary retrospective also celebrated the 30th anniversary of her 1995 album, Pies Descalzos.
“This edition of Spotify Anniversary is dedicated to all my fans around the world,” Shakira wrote. “Thank you for celebrating with me these two albums that changed everything for me and for so many. [Translated from Spanish] Thank you for walking with me through these 30 years of Pies Descalzos, and 20 years of Oral Fixation!”
Shakira, who is currently on tour in South America, released “Hips Don’t Lie” when Oral Fixation was reissued in 2006. The track originally featured Wyclef Jean and has reached over 2 billion Spotify streams.
