The Rolling Stones hit Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts on Thursday. The legendary rockers broke out “Emotional Rescue” for the first time since 2014 at the Boston area concert.
The Stones delivered “Emotional Rescue” in the fifth song slot as the fan-voted song for the show. The title track to the band’s 1980 album won out over “Out of Time,” “Monkey Man” and “Live With Me.”

The Rolling Stones last performed “Emotional Rescue” nearly 10 years ago to the day on May 26, 2014 in Fornebu, Norway, as per SetlistFM stats. The Foxborough rendition was held down by the pocket groove of drummer Steve Jordan and longtime touring bassist Darryl Jones, with the latter shining on the four string throughout including a funky bass solo.
