Kacey Musgraves Honors Dolly Parton With ‘Golden Hour’ Standout In Boston

Kacey Musgraves brought her Middle Of Nowhere Tour to Boston’s TD Garden on Friday. The country star honored Dolly Parton with a performance of “Rainbow.”
Musgraves is touring around her 2026 album, Middle Of Nowhere, which arrived in May. The singer-songwriter kicked off the concert at TD Garden with “Everybody Wants To Be A Cowboy,” off the record. All told, Kacey offered 11 of the 13 tracks on Middle Of Nowhere throughout the show including popular tunes “Dry Spell,” “Mexico Honey,” “Loneliest Girl” and the title track.
Additionally, the country artist rolled out some choice covers including “(Hey Baby) ¿Qué pasó?” by the Texas Tornados and the George Strait hit “All My Ex’s Live In Texas.” Musgraves performed “Rainbow,” from her Grammy-winning 2018 album Golden Hour, late in the set.
Kacey performed the song in honor of the late Dolly Parton who passed away last week. Musgraves introduced the song with one of Dolly’s famous quotes, “If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with a little rain.” Watch Kacey Musgraves pay tribute to Dolly Parton in Boston below:
