Rod Stewart & Ronnie Wood Perform Faces’ ‘Ooh La La’ At Royal Albert Hall

Longtime Faces bandmates and Ronnie Wood reunited last night at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The performance was part of the all-star 2026 King’s Trust Celebration that was attended by King Charles.

Monday’s concert event marked the 50th anniversary of the charity founded by then-Prince Charles in 1976. Other performers included Rita Ora, Craig David and Anne-Marie, who were backed by the house band led by Jools Holland.

Rod Stewart and Ronnie Wood formed Faces with bassist Ronnie Lane and keyboardist Ian McLagan in 1969, following the dismantling of the precursor group Small Faces. Faces issued four albums between 1970 and 1973, culminating with Ooh La La.

Faces broke up in 1975, and Stewart embarked on a successful solo career, while Wood joined The Rolling Stones. Lane died in 1997 and McLagan passed away in 2014.

Stewart and Wood have shared the live stage together in the years since Faces broke up, including performing their hit, “Stay With Me,” at the 2025 Glastonbury Festival in England.
