It’s official. Radiohead will return to the road this fall for the first time since 2018. After issuing flyers teasing the announcement, the British rockers confirmed a series of four-night residences across Europe in November and December.
The 20-show run will end a touring hiatus that lasted seven years. Anticipation has been building to today’s announcement throughout the year after the band formed a new business entity and tickets for a Radiohead concert were offered in an auction. Then, in August, Radiohead released a surprise live album.
Drummer Philip Selway shared a statement accompanying the announcement. Read Selway’s note below:
Last year, we got together to rehearse, just for the hell of it.
After a seven year pause, it felt really good to play the songs again and reconnect with a musical identity that has become lodged deep inside all five of us.
It also made us want to play some shows together, so we hope you can make it to one of the upcoming dates.
For now, it will just be these ones but who knows where this will all lead.
