Pro-Shot Full Show Video: The Disco Biscuits Unleash A 32-Minute Improvised Jam In Colorado
By Jeffrey Greenblatt May 27, 2018 • 11:25 am PDT

The 2018 edition of Bisco Inferno rolled on last night as The Disco Biscuits put a bow on their three-night stand at The Ogden Theatre in Denver ahead of tonight’s headlining show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. Saturday night’s gig saw the jamtronica act unleash an expansive free-form jam to open their night along with delivering an old-school song that has become a rarity in recent years.
The Philadelphia-based band opened their penultimate night of Bisco Inferno with a 32-minute improvisation that has officially been dubbed “Nowhere Jam.” From there the four-piece dug in on “Down From The Bottom,” a song that dates back to their earliest days, having been debuted all the back in 1996. Just the third take on “Bombs” in three years came ahead of an inverted “Confrontation” with the Biscuits returning back to “Down From The Bottom” to close out their opening frame.
The quartet got their final set at The Ogden going with a segue-filled run that began with an unfinished version of “The Very Moon.” tDB then reached for “Pat & Dex,” performing the old-school rarity for just the sixth time since 2010 and their first stab at it since December 4, 2015. “Catalyst” followed, as it segued into the ending of “Morph Dusseldorf” to bring the long jam-heavy sequence to a close. The Disco Biscuits ended their second stanza in Denver with “Reactor” and “Home Again” before concluding the night with “Dublights,” a dub interpretation of their song “Floodlights.”
