By Jeffrey Greenblatt Sep 23, 2017 6:43 am PDT

Last night The Disco Biscuits continued their four-night City Bisco run with the first of two shows at the Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island. The jamtronica band was making their return to the 5,000 capacity ocean-side venue for the first time since last summer’s City Bisco run.

The Philadelphia-based band opened the night with “On Time” and “The Tunnel,” which was played for the first time since February of last year. “Little Shimmy In A Conga Line” followed, with a cover of”Safety Dance” by Men Without Hats next. The 1980s classic segued into “Champions” and eventually worked its way back into “Little Shimmy In A Conga Line” to close out the set.

The four-piece act opened up it’s sixth set their City Bisco run with “Floodlights,” which segued into the venue location nodding choice of “Cyclone,” with the iconic roller coaster sitting just down the boardwalk. An inverted “Above The Waves” followed, which eventually wound its way back into “Floodlights.” “House Dog Party Favor” brought the set to a close, with the band returning to the stage for a take on “Portal To An Empty Head” to conclude the third night of their run.
