Phish Set To Enter Studio

Phish
The members of Phish recently sat down with Jon Pareles of The New York Times. Inside the two-page article, the band confirms they are headed into the studio next month and have been working up a bunch of new songs – but fans are likely only to hear one at Hampton, “Backwards Down the Number Line” which asks, “Do you know why we’re still friends” (fitting indeed).

Perhaps the most exciting segment stated that the band is “resolved to be the version of Phish they prized most: the intently practiced, well-prepared Phish from the mid-90s. They started their Vermont rehearsals not with their countryish three-chord songs but with their intricate, suitelike songs that verge on progressive rock, like ‘Split Open and Melt’ and ‘Foam.”
