Nickel Creek Announces ‘Nickel Stream: A Livecreek Experience’ Livestream Concerts

Nickel Creek announced a livestream concert run dubbed Nickel Stream: A Livecreek Experience. The progressive bluegrass trio of Chris Thile, Sara Watkins and Sean Watkins will stream live from Santa Barbara, California on February 21 and 28 beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT via Mandolin.

Nickel Creek hasn’t performed live together since 2019, though both Thile and Sean Watkins contributed to Sara’s upcoming children’s album. The trio got together for a brief run of shows in 2019 after appearing on Thile’s Live From Here NPR radio program. Before that, the trio had not performed live together since 2017 and had not toured since 2014.

The band took to social media to announce Nickel Stream: A Livecreek Experience. “We’ll be digging deep into our catalog to make each show completely unique with no repeated songs,” stated Nickel Creek.
