We’re just a few days away from the start of this year’s High Sierra Music Festival at Plumas-Sierra Fairgrounds in Quincy, California on June 30 – July 3 which will be headlined by Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Thievery Corporation. A number of high-quality videos from last year’s High Sierra recently surfaced on YouTube including a performance from JamBase favorites The Slip.
In the video below shot by Clinton Vadnais, aka Cleantones, we watch as guitarist Brad Barr, drummer Andrew Barr and bassist Marc Friedman treat the High Sierra faithful to the fan-favorite instrumental “Yellow Medicine.” For those unfamiliar, The Slip was formed in 1998. The trio toured hard through the end of the ’00s and put out a series of incredible studio albums including 2006’s Eisenhower. Performances from the group have been come rare treats ever since with The Slip’s High Sierra ’15 set their only gig of the year. Check out The Slip’s performance of “Yellow Medicine” from last year’s High Sierra Music Festival:
Here’s a playlist of ten High Sierra ’15 videos shared by Cleantones including Surprise Me Mr. Davis’s “19th Nervous Breakdown,” Marco Benevento teaming with Eric McFadden on “Dropkick” and Holly Bowling’s “The Squirming Coil”:
