Former Buffalo Springfield and CSNY bandmates Neil Young and Stephen Stills will come together for the “Harvest Moon” benefit concert supporting The Painted Turtle and The Bridge School. The daytime event will take place on Saturday, October 5 at The Painted Turtle camp in Lake Hughes, California.
Non-profit The Painted Turtle provides free camp experiences for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. The Bridge School provides free educational resources to children with severe speech and physical impairments. Neil Young and his late ex-wife Pegi Young became involved with The Bridge School in the 1980s and hosted many all-star benefit concerts in support of the organization through 2016.

Masanga Marimba Ensemble will also participate in the “Harvest Moon” benefit concert. Additional performers will be announced at a later date. According to the announcement:
The concert will begin as attendees arrive to the sounds of the marimba ensemble Masanga. As the day progresses, Neil Young and Stephen Stills will take the stage for individual sets, joined by other talented performers to be announced. The event will culminate with a sunset performance, creating a magical atmosphere for all who attend. The festival-like day will also feature family-friendly activities, including face painting, food trucks, and much more.
Earlier this year, Neil Young canceled a tour with Crazy Horse and his only other currently scheduled tour date is an appearance at Farm Aid in Saratoga Springs, New York on September 21. Young and Stills performed together in April 2023 at Stills’ annual benefit concert for Autism Speaks and again weeks later at Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday celebration.
“Harvest Moon” tickets go on sale on Friday, September 6.
