My Morning Jacket Guitarist Carl Broemel Shares New Acoustic Single ‘Snowflake’

Guitarist Carl Broemel will release a solo album 4th Of July via his label Stocks In Asia and Thirty Tigers on August 19. The My Morning Jacket member has issued a third single from the LP, the acoustic “Snowflake.”

Presently touring with Ray LaMontagne in a supporting band alongside the majority of his MMJ mates, Broemel’s solo album was recorded between Jacket’s busy touring and recording schedule. MMJ bassist Tom Blankenship and keyboardist Bo Koster worked on 4th Of July, with Koster also getting songwriting credits. Other artists contributing to 4th Of July included Neko Case, Laura Veirs, Russ Pollard, Shelly Colvin, Richard Medek, Jordan Caress and co-producer Teddy Morgan.
