— a band formed by founding Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers member and current Fleetwood Mac lead guitarist Mike Campbell — premiered the new song “Irish Girl.” The single, which comes accompanied by a stop motion video, appears on the band’s debut studio album, Wreckless Abandon, due this Friday via BMG.

Campbell is joined in The Dirty Knobs by guitarist Jason Sinay, bassist Lance Morrison and drummer Matt Laug. Wreckless Abandon consists of 13 tracks co-produced by Mike Campbell and George Drakoulias. Chris Stapleton and Campbell’s Heartbreakers band mate, Benmont Tench, each contributed to the LP.

“‘Irish Girl is my favorite lyric on the record,'” said Campbell in a press release. “It’s whimsical and more poetic than most of the Knobs’ songs. I was inspired to write it driving home late one-night listening to Van Morrison on the radio. When I got home, the song just came to me. It’s very simple musically and I love the sound of the record. It reminds me of Ireland.”

Mike Campbell & The Dirty Knobs tapped animator Steven Mertens to direct the “Irish Girl” video. Watch the end result below along with audio of the track:
