Margo Price shared a cover of Joni Mitchell’s “River.” The solo performance was recorded at Pulse Studios in Nashville.

Mitchell originally included “River,” which interpolates “Jingle Bells” and has lyrics mentioning Christmas, on her landmark 1971 album, Blue. According to a press release, “With the song, Margo sends fans a message of peace and love for the rest of the year, and the hope for 2021 to be everything 2020 wasn’t.”

Price released her latest studio album, That’s How Rumors Get Started in July following delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Price’s live album, Perfectly Imperfect At The Ryman will be available in physical formats starting this Friday, December 4 after being issued digitally in May.

The premiere of the Perfectly Imperfect at The Ryman concert film is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday, December 2) at Tennessee’s Stardust Drive-In Theatre. The A Perfectly Imperfect Night at The Movies double feature will include a special screening of the 2019 documentary film, Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice.
