The Band of Heathens remotely teamed with Margo Price on a cover of Lucinda Williams‘ song, “Joy.” Video of the collaborative cover premiered during The Band Of Heathens’ weekly livestream program Good Time Supper Club.

Williams recorded “Joy” for her 1988 album, Car Wheels On A Gravel Road, which Price called a “desert island pick” and a “classic” while taping a “What’s In My Bag” at home segment for Amoeba Records. The Band Of Heathens, who will release a new album Stranger on September 25, posted a message with the “Joy” video, writing, “Song choice inspired by a couple of badass women AND everyone out there helping to find the JOY!”
