Margo Price & Widespread Panic Cover ‘Piece Of My Heart’ At LOCKN’ 2018: Pro-Shot Video

Relix shared pro-shot video of Margo Price and Widespread Panic performing the Janis Joplin popularized “Piece Of My Heart” at LOCKN’ 2018. The collaboration went down on Friday, August 24 at Infinity Downs and Oak Ridge Park in Arrington, Virginia.

Jerry Ragovoy and Bert Berns originally penned “Piece Of My Heart.” Erma Franklin, Aretha Franklin’s sister, became the first artist to record the song in 1967. Janis Joplin and Big Brother And The Holding Company then recorded the tune and it appeared on their 1968 album, Cheap Thrills. Margo Price and WSP’s version of the song closed out their five-song collaboration at LOCKN’ 2018 which also included Aretha Franklin’s “Rock Steady,” Tom Petty’s “Honey Bee” and more.
