Nashville’s own Maggie Rose performed “What Are We Fighting For” live for the first time on Saturday. Rose’s live debut of her new song came this past Saturday at the legendary Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
Maggie previously performed “What Are We Fighting For” as part of a virtual concert held to celebrate the release of “Help Myself” last May and sang the tune for a December 2020 session for Paste Magazine. While both prior versions saw Rose accompanied by her three-piece band, Maggie was backed by the full Opry Band last weekend. “Coming 2021,” Rose wrote in a note of her socials pointing out the live debut which may hint at a forthcoming “What Are We Fighting For” single.
The singer-songwriter recently launched a podcast for Osiris Media, a JamBase partner. Salute The Songbird With Maggie Rose episodes have featured chats with Ruby Amanfu, Jennifer Hartswick, Martina McBride and Mickey Guyton.
