Maggie Rose's 2024 has been one to remember, and it’s not over yet. The singer-songwriter will appear on CBS Saturday Morning tomorrow, December 28 to perform for the program’s “Saturday Sessions” series.
The timing couldn’t be more perfect for the longtime Phish fan since the legendary quartet begins a four-night New Year’s Eve run at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night. CBS Saturday Morning is broadcast from a production facility in New York City near MSG. Rose will have to get home for New Year’s Eve proper as she’ll be opening for Old Crow Medicine Show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on December 31.

Maggie Rose moved to her current hometown of Nashville nearly two decades ago after being raised in Maryland just outside of Washington D.C. Rose returned to the area last weekend for her annual homecoming shows at The Bethesda Theater in Bethesda, Maryland. The concerts not only celebrated the holiday season but also a year in which Rose released her best record yet, No One Gets Out Alive, which is nominated in the Best Americana Album category at the 2025 Grammys.
The road warrior spent the bulk of 2024 touring in support of No One Gets Out Alive and recently made a few appearances on the eighth annual The Allman Betts Family Revival Tour. Rose also continued her musical relationship with Mike Gordon, as the Phish bassist sat in with Maggie and her band at Nectar's in September and at Nashville's Eastside Bowl on Halloween.
When Rose wasn’t touring, the multi-hyphenate continued to host her own podcast, Salute The Songbird. Recent guests have included Grace Bowers, Sunny Sweeney and Emily Ann Roberts. Additionally, Rose teamed up with Charlotte Sands for a reimagined, stripped back take on No One Gets Out Alive standout “Under The Sun.”
Austin Marshall, Maggie’s husband, introduced Rose at the start of the concert. Marshall recapped all of Rose’s 2024 achievements and confirmed they are expecting their first child.

Maggie was accompanied by a slew of guests on Saturday, December 21 in Bethesda. A sequence of Christmas tunes were played in the middle of the concert with Rose and her band going heavy on No One Gets Out Alive cuts at the beginning and end of her set. Rose’s keyboardist Kaitlyn Connor kicked off the holiday portion of the festivities with a solo “Linus & Lucy.” Next, Austin Marshall sang “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and dueted with his wife on “White Christmas.”
The Hip Snacks opened on Saturday with the band’s guitarists — Ricky Feria and Felipe Cantuaria — adding to Rose & Co.’s “All I Need Is You (For Christmas).” Maggie then led her band through “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” and “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire).” From there, Rose and Connor played “O Holy Night” before Maggie’s cousin Kara Duarte joined the pair on “Silent Night.”
A joyous “Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)” brought the holiday-focused portion on Maggie Rose’s homecoming concert to a close. The main set ended with two songs a piece off No One Gets Out Alive (“Fake Flowers” and the title track) and 2019’s Change The Whole Thing (“Pull You Through” and “Smooth.”) The encore was a family affair as Duarte and Maggie’s nieces and nephews helped sing Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”
