Zac Brown Band Honors Dolly Parton At Forest Hills Stadium

Zac Brown continued to honor collaborator Dolly Parton during a concert at Forest Hills Stadium in New York City on Thursday. Zac Brown Band's first concert since the beloved icon passed away on Tuesday saw the frontman fitting in a song he worked with Dolly on, “Butterfly.”

The track appears on Zac Brown Band’s 2025 album, Love & Fear. The first of two concerts at Forest Hills saw Brown slotting in the tour debut of “Butterfly” in his initial set. The singer-songwriter shared kind words about Dolly and working with her before beginning the song solo on piano with the rest of ZBB joining the tribute. Watch below:

Zac Brown Band performed four other tracks off Love & Fear in NYC, “I Ain’t Worried About It,” “Animal,” “Hard Run” and “What You Gonna Do.” The latter launched Brown’s acoustic segment, where he also offered a Mumford & Sons cover (“The Banjo Song/Island Song”).

The second electric performance got underway with the tour debut of “Jump Right In,” off Brown’s 2012 LP, Uncaged. Additional favorites followed such as “Free” (linked with Van Morrison's “Into The Mystic”), “Knee Deep,” “Colder Weather” (coupled with the Eagles' “Take It To The Limit”) and “Chicken Fried.”

ZBB then delivered several covers to wrap the concert including takes on songs by Marvin Gaye (“Let’s Get It On”), Beck (“Loser”) and Bad Bunny (“Tití Me Preguntó”). The show came to a close with the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic “Free Bird.”
