Singer-songwriter Maggie Rose released a pair of live performance videos filmed at underground venue The Caverns in Pelham, Tennessee. Rose’s “Live From The Caverns” clips consist of the title track and “Fake Flowers” from No One Gets Out Alive, a new album out today on Big Loud Records.

Rose tapped Ben Tanner to produce the 12-track LP. No One Gets Out Alive features string arrangements overseen by longtime Phish collaborator Don Hart. The Nashville-based singer-songwriter is backed on the follow-up to 2021’s Have A Seat by Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit guitarist Sadler Vaden and drummer Chad Gamble as well as keyboardist Peter Levin (Gregg Allman, Blind Boys Of Alabama), bassist Zac Cockrell (Alabama Shakes) and keyboardist Kaitlyn Connor and guitarist Kyle Lewis from Rose’s own band.

“I’ve had some wonderful moments throughout my career, and I’ve been lucky to connect with fans while traveling on the path to self-discovery,” Rose said of the journey that led to No One Gets Out Alive. “My excitement surrounding this moment and this project really does make it feel like a new beginning.”

Maggie Rose was joined by her band and a string section on “No One Gets Out Alive” at The Caverns. “‘No One Gets Out Alive’ as a title sounds ominous on its own, but the song isn’t hopeless at all,” explained Rose regarding her new album’s poignant titular track. “So many events have reminded me that time isn’t guaranteed, and that I’m right where I need to be. I want people to hear the urgency in the song and stop dwelling on what they’re missing out on- the present is all you have, so make the most of it.”

Rose goes hard at the bluesy “Fake Flowers” along with her band at the subterranean space in showcasing her powerful voice. “On this song, I let myself be angry. That was liberating. I wasn’t softening the edges of my feelings for anyone or worrying about how it would land. The lyrics have some piss and vinegar and women aren’t always encouraged to put that on full display. But I didn’t want to conform to that, anger has its time and place and you can’t let it go if you keep suppressing it.”
