An all-star tour will pay tribute to The Band’s iconic 1976 farewell concert, The Last Waltz. Ryan Bingham, Jamey Johnson, Mike Campbell & Benmont Tench (The Heartbreakers) and John Medeski are among the talented artists that will be led by musical director Don Was as the Life is a Carnival: Last Waltz Tour ‘24 traverses the U.S. and Canada from October 19 through November 2024.

Dave Malone, Terence Higgins, and Mark Mullins & The Levee Horns (featuring the original horn arrangements of Allen Toussaint) are also aboard for the upcoming Last Waltz Tour. Lukas Nelson will participate in three special shows in Colorado.

Life is a Carnival: Last Waltz Tour ‘24 begins immediately after a star-studded tribute to Robbie Robertson to be held at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on October 17. The tour’s participants, Trey Anastasio, Margo Price, Eric Clapton, Bob Weir, and Warren Haynes are just some of the artists set to appear at “Life Is A Carnival: A Musical Celebration of Robbie Robertson.”

The Last Waltz Tour dates back to 2016 and was last held in 2022. “This band, made up of these artists, playing these songs, is what Don and I dreamed of when we began planning this tour. Now the dream is a reality. Do not miss these shows!” explained Keith Wortman, Creator and Producer of The Last Waltz Tour franchise.

Fittingly, the month-long tour launches in San Francisco, the city that hosted the original Last Waltz on Thanksgiving Day 1976. The multi-city run begins at The Warfield on October 19 and moves to Boise, Idaho on October 22. Lukas Nelson steps in for Jamey Johnson at the Colorado stops set for Denver on October 24, Boulder on October 25 and Beaver Creek on October 26.

The Last Waltz Tour ’24 continues in Omaha on October 29. Additional dates follow in Rockford (Illinois), Louisville, Cincinnati, Red Bank (New Jersey), New York City, Port Chester (New York), Philadelphia, Boston, Schenectady (New York) and Rochester (New York) before the tour is currently scheduled to end in Robertson’s home city of Toronto on November 16.

Tickets go on sale to the general public this Friday, August 16 at 10 a.m. local time. Pre-sale tickets go up for grabs today, August 14 at 12 p.m. ET using CARNIVAL as the code.
